AEFSIA est. 2025

Founded in 2025 by Mr. David Li-Chi Lee, a student of the U.S. Int'l Abacus & Mental Math Development Association (USIAMMDA), our programs were created to make abacus education more accessible and relevant for students of all ages; to make learning effective and engaging for students of all ages. We teach traditional abacus methods to help learners build focus, confidence, and a stronger foundation in mathematical and critical-thinking skills. At Abacus Educational Forum & Scholarships International Association, we believe education should develop both the mind and character, preparing students for success and a better tomorrow.

Located in West Covina, California, we offer lessons weekly. Our classes follow a quarterly system, with fall, winter, spring, and summer terms. Each quarter lasts approximately three months. We have three to five students in small groups and six to ten students in large groups. Our abacus programs and courses are suitable for beginner, intermediate, and advanced learners, as well as professional and private instructors. We offer standardized assessment exams for all abacus levels, from beginner to advanced, including the licensing of teaching credentials.

Founder of AEFSIA, Mr. David Li-Chi Lee, holds a 3rd Degree certificate, studied under Mr. and Mrs. Wu of USIAMMDA for many years, and also served as their teacher assistant. He has over a decade of teaching experience and, in 2025, officially became the successor of the U.S. International Abacus & Mental Math Development Association.
